Your gifts and donations go towards The Achievers of America program using funds in a way that serves special needs individuals with developmental disabilities, through programs such as softball, bowling, and funds allotted for adult day training, work programs, group homes, social events and to build a much needed health center with medical assistance that will be focused on autism cerebral palsy, Down's syndrome and many others. Our main goal is to continue to enhance the quality of life for these individuals. The Achievers of America Inc. is recognized as an organization exempt from federal income tax as prescribed in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code is able to accept donations for the purposes stated in its organizational documents. An important part of of our program is to improve the lives of these individuals by experiencing the socialization and involvement with their peers. It helps them gain self esteem and gives them something to look forward to each week. This becomes a special event in their lives. This program is a unique approach allowing individuals to participate in a sport they could only dream of participating in, much less play.　Everyone plays,　no matter what their challenge.　If they have the desire, The Achievers of America are there for them,　even if they just come to watch. It’s not just a game. They learn to socialize, and gain self esteem. This is what it’s all about. The Achievers of America are giving them the opportunity to be part of our world. These individuals do not ask for anything more than the love you and I can give. They give their love without wanting anything but the love you and I can offers. Unfortunately they need our support throughout their life. Anything we can do to support these individuals with special needs, is a great way to help improve their quality of life. These people are just like you and I. They have a mind and feelings just as we do. They care for you and others, even if they can't show it, just look at their expression when you help them, it says It all. They ask for nothing except your love and give so much, this is what they give to us so freely. We have had many true stories throughout the years of individuals who have come out of their shells and took an interest in the activities to everyone’s amazement. The simple things in life are so precious to them and should be precious to all of us. Their lives depend on their mother, father, guardian, caregiver, or you being there for them. Even if it's only to be understanding and considerate, that's not to much to ask for, You can become a big part of their life by helping our program, without your support, there would be no world for them. With your help you can be proud of the fact that you supported this program. Your support is an important asset to those who can’t help themselves. Next time you meet a person with special needs, stop and talk to them for a moment. You’ll see the joy they express so freely, no matter what their situation may be. They enjoy the simple things in life that we take for granted, even if it’s only to say hello. Our program is open to everyone. We work along with schools, agencies, guardians, and individual family members. We offer a chance for these individuals to experience an avenue in life in our world. By supporting The Achievers of America, you can be proud. You have been a part of these individuals lives and have helped improve their quality of life by having them be part of our world. Something many of us take for granted. These individuals are Achievers, and with your special efforts would make you a proud "Achiever." We all need each other and we all could help each other in one way or another. I'm sure you have a heart, and that's all it takes to see the love they express.
