The Achievers of America program is in two states, New York and Florida and has hope for a facility to be built in Florida and could be a model for New York and the rest of the country.
In 2006 Florida State Senator Mike Fasano and Rep. Peter Nehr had put in an appropriations for a grant requesting $2.3 Million from the state of Florida for a proposal to purchase a piece of property to build a three building complex. Called The Pasco County Achievers of America Center, P.C.A.A.C. to be built on Hicks Rd. and Hudson Ave. in Hudson Fl. At this time the State of Florida hasn¹t enough funds to address our request for a grant. The Achievers are hoping to have Senator Mike Fasano and Rep. Peter Nehr reapply for this grant at the appropriate time.
The site will serve Individuals with Disabilities senior citizens and the general public; this project can also apply to agencies in New York such as YAI, Life Spire etc, who have clients that are in the Achievers of America program. Other state agencies will be involved in offering well needed programs to improve the quality of life for thousands of people.
The Achievers of America. Is hoping to raise the necessary funds needed to assist the government for the requested grant of $2.3 million.
The owner of the property will agree to wait till next year if he has a binder of $100, 000 to secure the sale of this property and will donate $50, 000 to the Achievers of America upon the final sale of the property
The Achievers will donate this $50,000 to the state of Florida as an in kind contribution to help make this project become a reality.
To help raise the additional funds needed for this grant, The Achievers will have a series of fundraiser variety shows called "The Achievers of America Show of Shows" and other types of fundraising events.
The Achievers will notify the community when the fundraising for the "P.C.A.A.C. Project" will start.
The Achievers of America is open to suggestions regarding programs that would be beneficial to this project.

Dear Resident of the state of Florida,
We would like to inform you of a proposal that the Achievers of America Inc has presented to State Senator Mike Fasano of Florida. It's a project called, The Pasco County Achievers of America Center. This letter will explain some of the details of this project. To have this project become a reality we are seeking a grant from the state of Florida, and need the support of the local community. What follows is the plans for the Pasco County Achievers of America Center, and the needed programs that would be helpful to individuals that are challenged with developmental disabilities, and the general public, in our communities of Pasco County. This plan will also benefit the surrounding communities throughout the state of Florida.
The location of the property is in Pasco County, near the intersection of Hicks Road and Hudson Ave. There are four acres of land, enough to build up to a six story building along with parking area. This property has been rated as C- zone, and Z- zone, giving us an OK to put up a building at this choice location. The owner of this property is willing to accommodate us, and will submit the plans when needed. This facility will be zoned/coded as a shelter, to be used by our community in an emergency.
Our goal is to help as many individuals as possible, insuring that the individuals are well served and are well cared for, having every opportunity to enjoy a happy and healthy life. The idea of this program is to help as many individuals, challenged or not, with available programs that promote prosperous and fulfilling lives in the community by changing a persons life for the better.
Here's a list some of the services that will be available to everyone. Programs such as: Health related issues, Including Doctor, Dentist, Eye doctor, and nurses offices, Learning and training center, behavioral service, speech and hearing, Autism assistance, Physical therapy / rehabilitation for stroke and brain injury participants working along with the local hospital, work and mental health reskill for veterans, Job training program, cafeteria etc. teaching work ethics, A paying work program (piecemeal), support services for individuals, Social planning, living skills, complete adult training, Day program, supported living apartments
For the challenged and handicapped, a family suite for parents from out of state if their child has a temporary hospital stay. Community involvement, also accommodating senior citizens and working with other school programs in the area, sport programs, softball, bowling, basketball, etc. Gymnasium, exercise room, Office rentals for medical related businesses, etc.
These are some of the main programs that could be available at this facility. I am open to any suggestions to improve on this program. This project will be a great asset to our community, the surrounding communities and the state of Florida.

Dear General Business in Pasco County
We would like to inform you about our proposal to build a facility located on Hicks Rd. and Hudson Ave. in Hudson, Pasco County, Florida. This project will be a great asset to our community and the state of Florida. Bringing jobs to the area, offering the necessary and needed programs for individuals with developmental disabilities challenged and handicapped persons, senior citizens, and the general public with programs such as medical and health agencies that will assist ongoing programs to help improve the quality of life in everyday living of those who live in our community.
There are four acres of property available, giving us enough room for two buildings to be built. One building would be the main building, with up to six stories, and a two story building for supported living apartments. This property is a choice location and has been approved and rated c- z- x- no flood zone, allowing this facility to be constructed as a shelter and to be used by the community in case of an emergency.
We are alerting the community of this proposal, and in about a month or two, we should have more information on our project and the next steps to be taken, before Senator Mike Fasano puts in an appropriations request for a grant in 2007.
